Effective Date: February 14, 2026

The short version: When you text our number, we send you one message with a link to find community fridges. We don't store your phone number. We don't share it. We don't send you anything else. Ever.

๐Ÿ“ฑ What This Service Does

The Community Fridge Initiative is a non-commercial student art project based at NYU Tisch ITP. When you text our number after seeing our public art projection in DUMBO, Brooklyn, you receive a single automated reply with a link to FridgeFinder.app โ€” a community-maintained map of free fridges near you.

That's it. One text in, one text out.

๐Ÿ”’ Information We Collect

When you text our number, your message passes through Twilio's messaging platform to reach us. In that process, Twilio temporarily handles your phone number in order to route the reply back to you.

๐Ÿค How We Use Your Information

Your phone number is used for one purpose only: to send you a single informational reply about community fridges near you. Once that message is delivered, your number is not retained, used for any other purpose, or accessible to anyone.

๐Ÿšซ What We Will Never Do
